Calvary Road Baptist Church is an Independent, Fundamental, Baptist Church.
Independent
There is no “mother church” that governs or oversees this local New Testament Baptist Church. We have no association or membership in any organization. The scripture says Christ is the head of the church.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Ephesians 5:23
Fundamental
We abide by the fundamental teachings of the Word of God. Specifically the King James Bible. This includes the Deity of Christ, the Godhead (Trinity), the Virgin Birth, the Physical Blood Sacrifice of Jesus, His Sinless life, Christ’s Death upon the cross, His Burial and Bodily Resurrection, Salvation by grace through faith Without Works, a Hell that burns with fire, a Literal Heaven, the Eternal Punishment of the Unsaved, Looking for His Return and other fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith. By “fundamental” we also mean we avoid new and strange doctrine that is contrary to the Word of God. We do not believe that our “experiences” supersede the Scripture. The Bible is the “Sole Authority” for Faith and Practice.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness

Baptist
We are Baptist by conviction. We hold to the traditional and historical “Baptist Distinctives” that have been passed down from Christ’s disciples and the early New Testament Church.
Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.

Calvary Road Baptist Church is a family of believers in Jesus Christ, firmly dedicated to preaching and teaching the truths of the Word of God. Our church meets on Sundays and Wednesdays to worship God in songs, hymns and spiritual songs, inspirational preaching, creative teaching and engaging fellowship. Our Sunday morning services are a great opportunity to worship with others and be motivated to live a more Godly life through the messages from the pulpit.
